Press Release: CNES and DLR sign agreement to develop and operate MASCOT lander - Key element of JAXA’s Hayabusa-2 mission

At the Paris Air Show on Monday 17 June, CNES and DLR (Deutsche Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt), the German aerospace agency, signed a cooperation agreement to build the MASCOT lander to fly on the Hayabusa-2 asteroid sample return mission for JAXA, the Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency.
